NESC Arc Assessment Seminar
Seminar to address the needs of the utilities related to the new National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) arc assessment requirements. The NESC has mandated an Arc Assessment to be completed by January 1, 2009. The course will include an explanation of arc flash hazards, an overview of arc flash calculations, and class exercise in arc assessments for several typical system locations.


Substation Seminar
Seminar structured to provide specialized training to increase the knowledge level of distributor employees who have responsibilities for substations. This seminar will be structured as a learning experience for participants with a medium knowledge level of substation operations.


Overhead Distribution Line Design and Staking School
Course is developed in support of utility engineering and construction staff. Areas such as line design, departmental roles, procedures, responsibilities, and construction assistance are emphasized. This course is geared generally toward line design personnel as well as the operation and line construction personnel. Fundamental principles covered include: Heavy Conductor Staking and Multi-Phase Design, Three-Phase Transformer Banking and Commercial Applications, Lightning and Grounding, Large Development Layouts, Computerized Staking and GIS Mapping as well as Distribution Line Switching in addition to others.
