Patterson & Dewar Engineers is pleased to announce that Daniel G. Fleming has joined the firm in the Electrical Services Group. Dan earned his M.S. degree from University of Nevada specializing in statistical methods and economic theory, and his B.S. degree at Western Kentucky University majoring in biology with a minor in Chemistry and Economics. Dan has over 20 years of experience working with utilities in a variety of roles, including 10 years with East Kentucky Power Cooperative. While at East Kentucky Power, he was directly involved in load forecasting, integrated resource planning, and managed the demand-side and market research areas.

Dan routinely works with utilities providing assistance with price design, load and market research, and benefit cost evaluations for demand-side management and demand response measures. He worked with Williams Company and Vectren in a Power Origination role, developing numerous risk reduction and wholesale power sales opportunities for utilities across the country. Until recently, Dan was Manager of Marketing and Business Development at Owensboro Municipal Utilities managing the Telecommunications Department, supporting their power marketing efforts, and serving as team leader for Regulatory Compliance.

Dan resides in Owensboro, Kentucky with his wife, Tonya. They have 2 daughters -- Danielle, a college student and Emily, a sophomore in high school. Dan is a part-time Economics Instructor at Owensboro Community College, and enjoys hunting, fishing and working with Quarter horses; although most of his time these days is spent watching his daughters participate in soccer and basketball for their high school and travel teams..
