Electrical Services
The electrical department at Patterson & Dewar has been developing and delivering valuable engineering solutions for over six decades. The electrical group has earned a well-deserved reputation for excellence in planning, designing and staking for a wide range of transmission, substation and distribution projects.
Our engineers work with investor-owned utilities (IOUs), electric utility co-operatives, electrical membership corporations (EMCs) and municipal electric utilities to assure the reliable delivery of energy and services to hundreds of thousands of customers across the United States.
The electrical department supports our clients with a variety of construction services, including preparation of construction contracts, evaluation of construction bids, construction management, equipment acceptance testing, equipment commissioning and project close-outs.
We also support our customers with analysis and planning studies, including long range plans, construction work plans, power supply studies, rate studies, financial forecasts and coordination studies. These studies are often used to obtain funding for projects, but they also serve as working documents that may be used for ongoing reference or updated to reflect planning changes. Our engineers also offer consulting and recommendations for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, load management, relaying systems and protection solutions.
Our history of excellence is thriving as we enter a new era of technological development in the industry. P&D engineers and crews are equipped with the latest technology, but they are also grounded in the heritage of personal service to each customer on every project.
